Ready To Rock at 6pm 150

The Legends of Alcatraz website has been updated again to give us a date and time for the Alcatraz adventure.

Be a Pier 33 in SF at 6pm for a 7pm ferry ride to the island, ID required and under 18's must be accompanied.

There is also another mention that Dr. Soto will be giving the tour. We are not sure if that means Jorge Garcia will be there but it looks promising.

Join us here on this site to discuss any information we get from the visit. If you are attending and will be tweeting from the event then please let us know your Twitter ID so we can follow along.

Update - A twitter user KristieMichele87 may have posted a clue from whatever is happening today on Alcatraz.

The picture looks similar to the one in the puzzle on the Legends of Alcatraz website.

Let us know what you think in the comments.

  1. Do we know anyone that's going? Assume Jo is?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Actually I haven't heard from Jo about whether she is attending.

Hope there is someone we know that will be going.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Just found out @wikibrucethere will be at the event.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I've created a twitter list for people that might be at the event.

    ReplyDelete
  5. List isn't working for me :(

    ReplyDelete
  6. I am so delighted to find this! Thank you once again zort for your effort...you are awesome! Hi everyone, so glad to see familiar names!!!
I am very excited about Alcatraz...so far it's been very good!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hi Ellen, glad you found us :-)

Chris - I've tried from another computer and it does work for me, try opening the link in another tab and see what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Hi Ellen! :-)

Zort, it was giving me a page not found in Twitter :-( I've subscribed within twitter now though :-)

    ReplyDelete
  9. Wonder where the line will form?! I tried the link and at first it did not work, then second time it did.

    ReplyDelete
  10. The reminder alert just went off on my phone and I wondered what's that for? I looked at my calendar and oh yeah I need to get over to The Rock Mysteries. lol

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ok so it is at night but not at 9:15 like I thought. 6-7pm pst is 9-10pm. Hope this turns out to be something interesting.

Hi Ellen! Glad to see you.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Rather 9:14 like the clue. And 9-10pm for me

That makes it lasting until midnight for me give or take an hour. That's pretty early in the morning for you Zort.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yep starting around 2am for me !

  15. Finally west coast time is great for me!

I believe Jo is out of town this weekend for her real life job! Too bad!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Lots of tweets saying the bay is covered in fog and you can't see the island.

Feel like replying and saying that's normally the case !

    ReplyDelete
  17. They are general tweets, not specifically people going tonight.

I've been watching a twitter search for "Alcatraz" today and there are a large amount of people talking about the show.

Now people are waking up on the west coast the tourists are talking about it as well.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The first person to find a 2013 Ford Mustang gets to keep it. :) lol Well It is sponsored by Ford.

    ReplyDelete
  19. This picture was just posted from someone visiting.

Looks related to the previous puzzle and has the 1963 date (minus the 1)

I make it H1EF that is missing.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think so. Tess what do you mean about finding a Mustang? Where is that?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Or am I just being gullible again? Today my husband said he was going to be the designated driver for a girls night out-and there was much laughter when I said "Are you serious?"

    ReplyDelete
  22. Looks a little too obscure, but never say never !

    ReplyDelete
  23. I was just thinking when I saw the google entry for H1EF that perhaps they are referring to lighting at Alcatraz...no fire, battery operated only. Or perhaps the lighting in cellblock D? Maybe something odd about it?

    ReplyDelete
  24. JT sorry I was just joking around.
Zort I seen that tweet earlier too. Noticed the date but wasn't sure it was actually from Alcatraz or not since it was to early for the event. So I ignored it. Guess I should take a closer look. lol

    ReplyDelete
  25. Just recalling the creepy, wonky lighting in the Dharma Medical Station...! (LOL!) Wow, I miss those days! xxoo

    ReplyDelete
  26. Does this pic look like it is to do with the show ?

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Zort- seems like it was sent from someone who is visiting Alcatraz...can you read the bio (?) on the side of the packaging? Wonder who the guy is on there?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Looks like it is a standard gift shop item.

Lots of other pics of it from ages ago.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Only thing I can make out in the text is in the bottom corner. It's the name Mickey Cohen. Looks like it may be a quote by him not sure. But he was a Hollywood gangster sent Alcatraz.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Tess-I thought you were kidding. But what if it turns out to be true? Too much of a coincidence I think that the clue points to a show sponser.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I found a webcam on the pier that the tour leaves from, it could be interesting to view later.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Looks like a beautiful day there!

    ReplyDelete
  33. WikiBruce is just about there, he just tweeted a picture of the island.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Would be interested to know if there's a big crowd there or not.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Good evening! watching cam, will held over to Twitter to follow Bruce. Can we say EXCITED! :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hi Lotto, nice to see you over here :-)

I'm not sure how much info we will get on events, but it could be interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hi! Zort. You are up late...

I'm trying to catch up events. Maybe another week or two before I can full commit to much of anything.

Hi, Maven, Tess, Sue, are you all here? Ellen! xxxx

I'm am time challenged... what is 1:06 ? UK time?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yep, the blog settings are on GMT at the moment.

It will be very late before I get some sleep, but not much to do tomorrow so I can sleep in.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hi, Lotto! Hi, Ellen. Hi, everyone! Definitely seems like old times!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Are we thinking this is a game of some sort? or will they be watching next episode (like premiere)?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Maven here is your answer about the number of people.

    WikiBruce Picture

    ReplyDelete
  42. Hahaha Zort. Just saw that. Very surprised there is not a mob there yet!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hi Lotto!

Yes- I am watching Chuck and Fringe and the Alcatraz Magical Mystery Tour tonight. Fun!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I actually think it is very brave of them to put something like this on with only a handful of episodes aired.

I would personally be surprised if enough people turn up to fill the 302 spaces.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Guess you're right, Zort. Just remembering all the Lost lines I waited on! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  46. Which is a good point.. why so early in the game?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Does anyone know how long the ferry ride is to the island?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I agree Zort. I thought it was a little early. Even with the supposed people trying to sneak into roped off areas reported by TMZ.
I take everything they report with a grain of salt.

    ReplyDelete
  49. knowing it conflicts with Fringe.... same demographic.

    ReplyDelete
  50. No idea how long the official ferry takes, but it took us only about 10 minutes from the boat tour we took in July to get from the island back to one of the piers.

Yes you would have thought Fox wouldn't want a conflict between the two shows.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Another picture, the line is growing !

    ReplyDelete
  52. Zort are you grabbing people twitting to list?

    @_june
    @labfly
    @a_askew

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think maybe it is so hard to launch a show these days, they really want to start strong. Maybe more of an interactive internet event would be good though.

    ReplyDelete
  54. It maybe a publicity thing, that if it is a real event with real people they can get photo's and interviews for a press release maybe ?

I didn't have @_june on the list, but they are on now.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I think ABC's The River launched an interactive site with mythology about the show on it. Seen it tweeted today but haven't had a chance to check it out yet.

    ReplyDelete
  56. @WikiBruceThere -

White screen, microphone, filming type setup beyond the barrier? #mystery Also Ford cars slicked up for showing off

    ReplyDelete
  57. I feel the need to countdown..... 10, 9, **** 8 ****

    ReplyDelete
  58. Yep got mrjudkins, he was going to meet up with Bruce earlier.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Chatting with @a_askew. she's ready and excited. will tweet, tweet, tweet

    ReplyDelete
  60. Just realised what if they are there so that a scene for the show can be filed where Doc is showing a group of tourists or Alcatraz enthusiats around ?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  62. Hard to be on twitter trying to follow Alcatraz going ons and avoid Fringe spoilers!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Ah yes as I feared it wasn't all good news.

Lots of talk of reorganisations and a small number of redundancies.

I'm in a group that isn't affected, but it's always a pain when these things happen.

Plus two big directors of our company, before it was taken over, are leaving so that was the big news.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hi Zort and everyone! Maven clued me in, so I'm tagging along for the fun. Hope you're all doing well!

    ReplyDelete
  65. @wikibruce says they're signing release forms.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hi Mrs Z! Glad your job escaped today Mr Z.

Yes- wow- that would be something to be in the show!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Hi Everybody!!! Watching Fringe and keeping an eye on this...LOVE it!!! So good to "see" old friends!
    xxoo

    ReplyDelete
  68. I wonder if they are being told to turn phones off as it's all gone a bit quiet.

    Hi Mrs Z, welcome along.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Hello, Mrs. Z! There will be two tire Zorts over coffee/tea in the morning.

    ReplyDelete
  70. mrjudkins reports to my hello:

@MJHasOwlEyes Yup! At the front of the line with a bunch of other ARGers. We've waived all rights to anything & are standing by...

    ReplyDelete
  71. They seem to have been split into teams

    @ _june - I'm in the green team! #LegendsOfAlcatraz #slytherin

    ReplyDelete
  72. I guess there's teams _June says she's in green team.

    ReplyDelete
  73. To clear up any confusion, I'm not Mrs. Zort, I was just lucky enough to marry a guy whose last name starts with Z. :)

    ReplyDelete
  74. Tried to delete my comment Zort but it won't let me. :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. No worries! I wonder how many teams there are?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Where have heard of 42 Entertainment before? Did they do something for Lost?

    ReplyDelete
  77. I think Fiona is signed up as Mrs_Zort just to add or take away to or from the confusion.

I'm not entirely sure which :-)

Although she will be as tired as me because she is in the other room creating an assignment for her students at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  78. http://www.42entertainment.com

Apparently they did some of the Dark Knight viral marketing events.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Oh ok I probably heard it from a podcast i listen to. They're big Dark Knight fans.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I guess they are on a boat... Is the the part where we stand up and stretch....

    ReplyDelete
  81. They are going in, with lanyards apparently.

    ReplyDelete
  82. "Please display this placard at all times - you don't want to be mistaken for a wayward inmate. This ticket is valid for the date and time indicated above entry: stubs from 1963 will not be honored."

    ReplyDelete
  83. Like it, I just saw the picture of one of the cards from MrJudkins

    ReplyDelete
  84. Glad our tweeters made it! Bon voyage!

    ReplyDelete
  85. This would have been very fun... I see tweets now between event-goers.

    The ferry has left shore...

    ReplyDelete
  86. @thacher @ari0ck @hmrpita @thebruce0

    ReplyDelete
  87. a_askew - Dr. Soto is giving us a pep talk (vilore cording) on the way to the island.

Is this a recorded message ?

    ReplyDelete
  88. maybea it's a typo video recording

    ReplyDelete
  89. mrjudkins Josh Judkins

The video intro by @sotodoc on the ferry explained that we'll be investigating a legend of an otherwise unknown escape...

    ReplyDelete
  90. do we really think Jorge will be there in person?

    ReplyDelete
  91. I was close. It was via recording.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I don't know about him being their in person, Bethan has given nothing away over the last few days, but I hope he is there even if it is only for a short time to say hi and film something short.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I wonder what the phone signal is like inside Alcatraz !

    ReplyDelete
  94. There was a picture online of him filming in Vancouver yesterday night. Not that far away though.

    ReplyDelete
  95. ha ha @thacher "the boat left us here!" ha ha

    Full Rock immersion.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Zort, can you please add a few more to list, I'm follow that group. I listed them up a few comments. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  97. One of the people there has flown from Ontario today, so it is definitely possible !

    ReplyDelete
  98. All these are now in the list

    @thacher @ari0ck @hmrpita @thebruce0

If there are any others let me know

    ReplyDelete
  99. Zort I can't believe you're still awake. I'd be dead by now.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Wondering who the unknown escapee might be?

    ReplyDelete
  101. I am begining to flag, and I might not make it all the way to the end !

I wonder if the escapee will make it out after tonight and we might have to track him over the next few weeks ?

    ReplyDelete
  102. they seem to have free reign over cell block. Where's the mystery? Where's the game?

    ReplyDelete
  103. They don't seem to have game directions yet.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Sleep is calling me very insistently so I am going to call it a night before I collapse.

I'll catch up in the morning to see what has happened.

Thanks for stopping by and bringing back some good memories of previous times.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Good night Zort. Get some rest. Thanks for all you do.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Well, our tweeters are either very busy, or have lost reception. Or are being held hostage.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Per Wikibruce/Alcatraz

    ReplyDelete
  110. would seem that the unknown escapee may be referencing the event-goers.

"Reconcile the fractured shards of the unknown and emerge a true Legend of Alcatraz."

    shards = glass
when you solve the puzzle you become a Legend.

    ReplyDelete
  111. That would be fun, Maven! I wish so too!
    xxoo

    ReplyDelete
  112. wonder if they have to find pieces (shards) of a puzzle that would reveal a legend.

    ReplyDelete
  113. scavenger hunt - trading object for clue
cribbage board - standard 121 holes, 370 in regulation board
city lights? - there seems to be a map involved. maybe identification of buildings.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Looks like some professional taping of event happening? Maybe we will see that someday.

    ReplyDelete
  115. mrjidkins says The mystery solved, we're now exporing & taking pics.

That was quick. Wonder what they solved?

    ReplyDelete
  116. mrjudkins
The mystery solved, we're now exploring & taking pics

Anyone hear what the mystery was?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Well, looks like there won't be anything earth-shattering tonight, so I think I'll check in tomorrow. Goodnight all! It's been great...:)
    xxoo

    ReplyDelete
  118. Via @_june While resting in the library, @mrjudkins reads over the case files

I wonder whose file it is?

    ReplyDelete
  119. Good night Ellen-don't dream of escaped inmates!

I asked Mr Judkins to explain the mystery of the mystery- no reply yet.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Night Ellen.

The mystery of tonight is mysterious!

    ReplyDelete
  121. I guess it's over @mrjudkins is heading back to the dock.
I think that means its bed time for me. Night all.

    ReplyDelete
  122. A couple more pictures up on the Twitter list. I would guess that after solving the puzzles the players were given that case file of the mystery prisoner.

And I have to be nodding off too- nice to talk to you all!

    ReplyDelete
  123. Morning all, just looking back over the tweets.

Looks like they had fun, I'm just not exactly sure what they did :-)

    ReplyDelete
  124. Great to read through the comments and see so many old faces here! LT on the case again I see :-)

So it was just a bit of fun by the sound of it? Nothing revealing. Nothing that seemed like the start of something ongoing?

probably just an excuse for Ford to show of some cars.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I got this reply from @mrjudkins
@SG_Tess @JST_THINKING @MJHasOwlEyes We had to try & locate proof of a inmate who was rumored to have escaped but no records remain...

@sg_tess @jst_thinking @mjhasowleyes Practically, that meant traveling to specific parts of the prison to fill in the blanks of a clue sheet

    ReplyDelete
  126. Thanks fo rthe info, I'll just update the NEW POST I just created.
