Legends of Alcatraz Puzzles 31 to 35 21
After the Legend event at SXSW in Austin Texas at the weekend it is time to help Doc Soto track down Thom Tebarkley.
The Legends Of Alcatraz website has been updated with the new sweepstake details and a new set of puzzles.
From the event on Sunday this picture was tweeted as the case was solved, it appears to show a safety deposit box with a clock. This is most likely the clock that was stolen in 1962 that is referenced in the information on the new puzzle section.
The new sweepstake to again win a Ford Mustang car end on the 30th of March, so lets get to solving the puzzles.

How come it was easy to solve the "hard" puzzle but I can seem to figure out the "Word Play" puzzle?
ReplyDeleteThe word play one is quite fun but the answer isn't completely obvious !
ReplyDeleteIf you highlight the words in pen you might see the answer.
I've done all five now, maybe we are just getting used to the style but they all seemed easier this week.
ReplyDeleteMuch, much easier this week
ReplyDeleteive 3 so far just stuck on 33 and 35
ReplyDelete35 done .. didnt see the clue on the card
ReplyDeleteclue for 33: do not think of the dice as numbers
ReplyDeletethanks, but I just cant wrap my head around it, I think i may be over thinking it.
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck on 31 I can solve the word play puzzle and see the picture...but can't figure out what exactly the answers format is...any clues, number of words in answer???
ReplyDeleteOggi, 2 words and kinda blur your vision looking at it.
ReplyDeletestlmyke, if you need another clue for 33:
ReplyDeletethink of the dice as maps
thanks MiNiMaTiC, that made sense and i got it.
ReplyDeleteMorning all.
ReplyDeleteFor 31 the first word is the hardest to get, think of a word that applies to both burglary and protection.
Thanks MiNiMaTiC...just the clue I needed, I had tried each word seperately but not together :-)
ReplyDeleteI see the clues on the cards in 35, but I still can't figure it out. Help!!!
ReplyDeleteFor 35 you will have to think like a machine.
ReplyDelete@Zort70 - O that was cleaver :-)
ReplyDeleteNot sure why but the "hardest" ones seemed the easiest, I'm still stuck on 33. All the other one's weren't too bad.
Thank you Zort70, I got it!
ReplyDeleteIf you are still struggling there will be an answers post in a couple of hours time.
ReplyDeleteZort70, It was good hearing you on the Podcast.
ReplyDeleteI was stuck on #31,and couldn't make out what I was looking at. Mrs Village came in,looked at the paper, and said "That's a BLEEP". Curses, spoiled again! I finished the last one today. They did seem easier this time.
I should say for those subscribed that there is a NEW POST with the solutions in.
